The back of my minivan doesn't do it justice. There is so much stuff down in there!!

Inside of one backpack, the first grader:
I was so happy to find bargains for our lunches. The boxes were less than five dollars each, the water bottle was only two dollars. The sandwich containers I've been collecting at about two dollars each, and the small containers, perfect for pudding, applesause, etc. I got three for just over a dollar. I added up the cost of the whole lunch packet to be just under $10.00. That's the cost of one week of school lunches. Now I can put in salads, casseroles, and other more healthy treats for them. That is, if they don't loose them!
We just don't have enough hooks for them all. Nor would they all end up on the hooks. I'll be lucky if I don't find a lunch bag that has a two day old lunch in it from the Friday before! Friday's are the worst! I never think to check lunch boxes on Friday afternoons. I'm so tired from all the stress of meeting time constraints all week that when Fridays' arrive and I'm finished driving somewhere, I usually veg out in my room with a good sized headache with the HGTV running. If there's a show on about gardening or landscaping, that's like ice cream on the cake. There aren't enough gardening shows in my opinion! Not that I'm opinionated or anything...I guess I should make it possible for the lunch boxes to return to the kitchen to get cleaned at least! I just love organizing. *light bulb moment* I know!!! I'll have hubby build a cute shelf, and I'll stencil all of their names at the position where their personal lunch box should go. In birth order! That would be so cool! *wishful thinking*
Ahh.. to dream!

I think I am done school shopping...I have two pairs of shoes for the 5 kids in school. They all have lunch boxes that they can reuse from last year. Oh, I think I need two schoolbags left to buy. :(
Once your kids go to school, won't it be too wuiet at home? I'm not looking forward to entertaining the 2 kids left behind all week. They will miss their older siblings. :(
